Our Team

We are Planners, strategists, surfers, leaders, swimmers, lawyers, Mothers, and designers.

New technologies are emerging, which is hopeful in the long run, but fundamental change happens slowly, which means that between the inertia of today’s existing systems, and the delayed impact from carbon emissions we are most likely looking at much higher warming than most models are projecting. To help pacen the changes, we work with the most future minded individuals and companies to triangulate a more dynamic approach to deep decarbonization and adaptation strategies.

Our Company

CALIFIA: pronounced like California without the “orn”

Drawing on our roots in California, we were inspired by the the legend of Califia, the beautiful Queen who has come to be known as the “Spirit of California.” Her story was memorialized in an ancient text published as a Spanish novel in 1510, in which the mythical Queen led a formidable army of women warriors who protected their bountiful paradise, later to become recognized as the state of California. We share her passion for protecting and nourishing our environment and our communities.
